Nas Daily
Vlogger
Biography
Nuseir Yassin is an Arab–Israeli vlogger who is most notable for creating over 1,000 daily one-minute-long videos on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram under the page Nas Daily.
He launched his YouTube channel on September 30, 2011, and uploaded his first video on November 5, 2012.
His content primarily focuses on the unique stories of people and things all around the world, like the person who looks like Tarzan, or more famously, the guy who found a chemical solution that can clean the lake. He tends to upload (or at least post somewhere, like on Facebook) daily and his videos are usually around a minute long.
Yassin was born in Arraba, Israel, to a Muslim-Arab family of Palestinian descent. He describes himself as Palestinian-Israeli. He is the second of four children; his mother is a teacher and his father is a psychologist. His native language is Arabic; he also speaks English and non-fluent Hebrew.
Yassin applied to Harvard at the age of 19, seeking a degree in aerospace engineering, and received a scholarship. His application essay detailed his struggle to achieve his dreams being an Arab born in Israel. He graduated with a degree in economics in 2014 and also studied computer science. While earning his degree, Yassin co-founded a pay-it-forward registration service, and a social media search engine.
In September 2014, he started working as a software developer for Venmo, a mobile payment service owned by PayPal. He then left an engineering job at Venmo to chase his dream of making daily one-minute videos and posting them on Facebook. He’s found success, gaining over 700K followers and 110M views on his videos.
Yassin currently lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and has a video making company which spans on 2 countries (United Arab Emirates and Singapore). His memoir, Around the World in 60 Seconds: The Nas Daily Journey, was released on November 5, 2019.
