Vanessa Gyan Biography

Vanessa Gyan is a Ghanaian media personality, entrepreneur, and women’s rights advocate. She was born on May 25, 1988, in Accra, Ghana.

Vanessa began her career in the media industry as a radio presenter and host. She worked at Live 91.9 FM in Ghana, where she hosted several popular radio shows, including the “Late Night Celebrity Show” and “Sincerely, Vee.” Her charismatic and engaging style quickly made her a beloved figure in the Ghanaian entertainment scene.

In addition to her work in radio, Vanessa has made appearances on television as a host and presenter. She has worked on shows such as “Ladies Circle” and “Late Nite Celebrity Show” on e.tv Ghana. Her versatility and natural talent for connecting with audiences have contributed to her success across different media platforms.

Vanessa Gyan is the mastermind behind Modern Day Mom, “Ghana’s Premiere Lifestyle Hub”, and the Creator and Producer of the upcoming tv show, Modern Day Mom’s of Accra. Gyan, who relocated to Ghana from America 8 years ago, is also the CEO of The Sincerely, Vee Foundation which focuses on Maternal Health Awareness under its Post Pregnancy Bougie Express initiative. The Award-winning mom of one is also the Head of Business Development and Communications for the first-class sparkling wine, Blanc Foussy.
Back in 2015, Vanessa Gyan was named an ambassador for the international shoe brand, Crocs. Over the years, Gyan has worked with influential brands such as Vlisco, Charlotte Prive, Tree of Life, Ghandour, and Glitz Africa.

Vanessa Gyan quickly grabbed the attention of many, as part of the EIB family, Gyan was hand picked to represent EIB at the 2016 BET Awards held in Los Angeles, California, where she interviewed the likes of Karrueche Tran, Bonang, Fantasia and many other high-profile celebrities. Gyan hosted Live From The Capital, Trace Radio and The Juice on Live 91.9.

On the international front, Vanessa Gyan has gained quite the experience from co-owning a successful online magazine, SheSoMajor.com to interviewing everyone from the legendary group Boyz II Men, producer Swizz Beatz, the cast of reality -show ‘Basketball Wives’, Angela Simmons, and Adrienne Bailon, just to name a few.

In 2019, Gyan was named a WaterAid Ghana WASH Ambassador; WaterAid is an international non-profit organization that was set up in 1981 as a response to the UN International Drinking Water & Sanitation decade. In the same year, Vanessa moderated three impactful sessions for the United Nations during Africa Climate Week. Vanessa Gyan’s career and personal life continue to bloom as everything she touches turns to gold.

Over the past three years, Vanessa Gyan has been awarded Best Humanitarian in Maternal Health at the Humanitarian Awards Global, Forty Under 40’s Philanthropy and Non-Non-Profit Award and Best Media Personality at the Ghana Outstanding Woman of The Year Awards.
